i'm on fire, but i'm trying not to show it

I have nothing to report today - I got up after not quite enough sleep so that I could get ready and go into town for an 8am board meeting. That was accomplished in due course, and then I came home, made another giant cup of coffee, and got on with my slogging for the day. I still have far more to do than I can possibly catch up on, but I was a little more in it to win it today, so I at least got through a couple of critical things. I also had some entertaining meetings and ended the meeting day with book club, where we discussed WILD DARK SHORE, which we all mostly loved despite v. mixed feelings about various sections.

After that, I messed around for awhile, put a baked potato in the oven, and then worked until it was done. I ate it with some leftover steak, and then unfortunately got back on my work laptop - I was somewhat in the zone, and really needed to get something done that I should have done two weeks ago, so I powered through to the end. And now I need to go to bed - goodnight!
