I worked today, unlike most people in the company - I would have taken this week off, but my Mexico trip was much more necessary and also made me feel a bit behind, so I decided I should get some tings done before the end of the year. However, I wasn't entirely diligent...while I did get some tings done, I also skipped out a little early because I desperately needed to go to Des Moines to grab groceries and a couple of last Christmas presents.
I should have gone yesterday, but yesterday I took care of some house stuff and then spent several hours with Allie and Chris and their baby at my mom's house. Hopefully I'll didn't get them sick - if I'm picking up what [censored] has I'm asymptomatic so far. It was good to see them, but it was not how I intended to get ready for the holidays.
So anyway, I went to Des Moines and did a speed run through a liquor store, target, and whole foods in an attempt to get everything together, mostly successfully. Of course, I have to slog relentlessly tomorrow, and at some point I have to cook and clean and wash bedding and wrap presents and maybe decorate....but that is a problem for Future Sara (unfortunately that future is tomorrow, lol).
