joy when you call me

I had a v. nice day in southern Iowa. My mom and I drove over to Centerville; she had a dentist appointment, so I wrote in the waiting room. Then we had lunch with my sister and one of my nieces - we went to the old hotel on the town square, which has a cute restaurant inside. It was nice to see them, as usual, and it was also nice to eat the homemade potato chips fresh from the fryer - those things are going to haunt my dreams.

After lunch, we parted ways, and my mom and I did some shopping in the grand metropolis before returning home. When we got here, I took a nap and then wrote some more on the back porch before we went out for dinner - we went to the Mexican place in town, which makes a v. v. tasty fajita and also makes 20oz margaritas that will knock you out if you aren't careful. When we got home, I sat around and kind of dozed off, but then [censored] arrived for the weekend, so I talked to him for a bit. And now it's time for bed - goodnight!
