if you close your eyes

This was my last full day in ye olde Iowa for this trip...it felt like this trip went particularly fast. Today was a fittingly nonstop send-off - Aunt Kathy, Aunt Becky, and Uncle Brian all came down for the day, so we spent a lot of quality time together. They got here before lunch, so we hung out for a bit before eating. Lunch was great (and a bit of a repeat from yesterday) - brats and some super tasty hot dogs, potato salad, layered lettuce, deviled eggs, and baked beans.

After that, Aunt Kathy encouraged day drinking and I was too polite to deny her, so I mixed up some pretty tasty margaritas with the last of my limes. I ended up on the porch with Aunt Becky and one of the cats (Bright Eyes), who left half his fur on my shirt while insisting that I pet him, which resulted in me needing to change and take a Benadryl, but it was #worthit.

Aunt Becky and Brian left in the afternoon to see Gram and go back to Des Moines, but happily Kathy stuck around for supper (which was really lunch pt 2) before heading home. And I ended the evening by straightening up my room to accommodate the desk I brought back with me, and then discussing how to be a real estate mogul with [censored], who is probably more proficient with digging up info on the assessor's site than the assessor is. And now I need to sleep so I can head out sometime tomorrow - goodnight!
